Protection From MRSA Staph Infection
Some staph bacteria cannot be killed with commonly used antibiotics such as over the counter types. They have been found ineffective against the MRSA staph infection.
In order to help prevent MRSA from becoming a problem, your first line of defense is to know the MRSA symptoms. You should wash your hands frequently using plenty of soap and water. This will remove the largest threat of the infection from becoming more serious.
Wear clean clothes washing all uniforms, workout clothing and other articles of clothing that become soiled and sweaty. If you are involved with sports, keep all personal protection clean and dry. Never share towels. Do not share or use equipment until it has been properly cleaned and disinfected.
Lastly, be sure to treat all open wounds and scrapes which may appear to be MRSA symptoms with an antibacterial product that is designed to kill the MRSA infection. Insure that you keep these wounds and scrapes covered with a bandage to reduce the chance of spreading. As always, seek medical attention if you even suspect you may have a MRSA staph infection.

You can go to the Centers for Disease Control web cite at cdc.gov for the very latest and up today info on this all other diseases. Also I would like to add to what you said about the treatment. Before beginning any treatment, certainly any antibiotic, you must first check with your doctor, and use only treatments prescribed by your doctor. Self medicating will only add to the resistance of the any bacteria and be sure to complete any and all antibiotics as prescribed, never save it!!!!
